Base@Belmont

The Base@Belmont Youth Centre provides support for young people between the ages of 11-25 through a variety of activities, workshops and programs.

 

Operating after school and throughout the holidays, The Base is staffed by qualified and experienced youth workers, with programs including: 

Year 7 - 12  

  • Skill Up workshops - arts, sports, music, dance, drama, mental health, sexual health, resilience, culture, environment and many more
  • Girls and Boys Groups 
  • Project Y
  • Regular Excursions
  • Cooking and Nutrition
  • School Holiday Activities
  • Outreach

16 - 25 Year Olds

12-25 Year Olds 

The Base also provide school-based programs and workshops including our Positive Choices Program, RAGE Anger Management, Rainbow Collective (LGBTQIA+ and Allies group), Homeschool group and Drumbeat. 

Young people can swing by the Base@Belmont to play pool, table tennis, video games, watch movies and grab something to eat or just hang out with friends and meet new people.

The service is available after school; 

Monday from 3pm-5pm 

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 3pm-6pm

 Saturday between 1pm-4pm, with extended opening hours during school holidays.

We provide one to one Y Case Management and targeted group programs for young people aged 11 to 25. Support is tailored for each young person based on their unique needs.

Funded by the City of Belmont, all activities, workshops, programs and events are free for young people. The City of Belmont's partnership with YMCA WA aims to provide young people with access to highly trained and qualified youth workers, innovative programs and interesting activities in a supportive, safe and youth-friendly space.
