Recreation Centres

Effective from 6pm Thursday 23 December, masks will be mandatory in public indoor settings in the Perth/Peel region until at least 6am Tuesday 28 December or until Government directives change.

Everyone must wear a mask in our centres in this region during this time unless they have a medical exemption.

How is the Y keeping members safe?

We are following the directives from the Government Health Departments, find out the steps we are taking to keep you safe here.

What happens to memberships?

We will notify members if there is any change to their membership due to lockdown.

I have membership/function booking queries, what do I do?

What should I do if I have COVID-19/flu-like symptoms?

If you feel unwell, we ask you do not attend the centre and if necessary seek medical advice.

What should I do if I, or a family member, have been potentially exposed to COVID-19?

If you, or anyone in your family, may have been exposed to COVID-19, we ask you do not attend the centre and if necessary seek medical advice.

What should I do if I, or a family member, is diagnosed with COVID-19?

If you have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19) and have visited our centre recently, please contact Head Office at enquiries@ymcawa.org.au and your local centre via phone or email immediately.

What would happen if someone is reported to have COVID-19?

The Y will be notified by the affected person(s) and/or Department of Health. The Y’s recreation centre would then cease trade at that location, advise other members that may have come in contact with the affected person(s) and conduct a full deep clean to required standards. We expect this process to take around 48 hours and would seek the Department of Health approval to commence trade.
