Right now, during this COVID-19 pandemic, your fitness and wellbeing should be a top priority in order to build a strong immune system and stay healthy. Self-isolating at home can make exercise a challenge but the benefits, both physically as well as mentally, are well documented and more important than ever.

To support our valued staff, customers and members in staying active we’ve teamed up with global group fitness experts LES MILLS to provide you with complimentary access to LES MILLS On Demand service until 19 June!

Staff, customers and members will receive an email with an exclusive access to LES MILLS On Demand, so you and your family can access over 800 workouts, including BODYPUMP™ and BODYCOMBAT™ as well as mindfulness exercises, yoga and even dedicated programs to get the kids active, from across 13 categories on almost any device.

Workouts range from 15 to 55 minutes and there are options for all fitness levels, with and without equipment.

It is really important you keep exercising, eating well and getting enough sleep. Maintaining a routine, especially during times of change, is really important. So if you currently wake up to workout first thing in the morning, keep that up. Does being at home now give you the opportunity to pick up a lunchtime workout? Make the most of this by scheduling in a class of your choice at the same time each day.

Exercise is proven to support your immune system, lower stress levels and improve your mental health. LES MILLS On Demand will provide you with the classes you are used to – plus much more – so you can maintain your fitness routine while facilities are closed.

How do I take up this offer?

We'll send YMCA staff/customers/members an email with the link for you to request your free subscription of LES MILLS On Demand. This link takes you to a short subscription request page to fill out, which then comes through to us for approval. Once we've hit approve (we aim for within 24hrs) you'll receive an activation email to complete your free subscription! We've set it up so at no point do you need to enter credit card details. The subscription is valid until 19 June.

I'm a Y customer/member, and I haven't received an email. What do I do?

Sorry to hear! Drop us an email at lmod@ymca.org.au and we'll provide you with instructions on how to register for your complimentary access to LES MILLS On Demand.

I registered, but haven't received my activation email?

We'll endeavour to approve your request within 24 hours, so if you haven't received your activation link after that drop us an email at  lmod@ymca.org.au and we'll follow up.

What devices can I use to stream LES MILLS On Demand?

How fit do I need to be to use LES MILLS On Demand?

One of the best features of LES MILLS On Demand is that it's suitable for you, no matter your fitness level. Instructors often provide variations - and you can workout at your own pace to ensure you're working hard in a safe environment.

What equipment or preparation do I need for a LES MILLS On Demand workout?

Many of the LES MILLS On Demand workouts don’t require any equipment at all. All you need is space to move safely (we recommend 6sq.m of clear space).

BODYPUMP and LES MILLS GRIT Strength are weights-based workouts that use a barbell and/or weights plates, CXWORX requires a resistance band and weight plates and RPM requires a stationary cycle.

It’s important that you hydrate before and after your workout. You don’t need anything fancy, good old H2O will do the trick.

What is LES MILLS On Demand and who can access this offer?

Offering over 800+ online workouts which includes yoga, mindfulness, strength, cardio, high intensity, kids and teens programs – there’s something everyone can do anywhere, anytime, on almost any device.

We are providing this offer exclusively to all our staff, customers, and members. Through your unique YMCA access link which we will email you, you can access this LES MILLS On Demand offer to utilise with your friends and family and work out together during this time.

Does this offer extend to customers other than recreation?

Yes, this is available to our whole Y community, but our recreation members are our first priority in receiving access.

Are we charging people for LES MILLS On Demand?

No, there will be no fee. We are reducing the barriers to participation by making this service unlimited and complimentary during this time. There is usually a subscription fee to utilise the LES MILLS On Demand, however we’ve worked with LES MILLS to provide this for free for 60 days.

Can we share the LES MILLS On Demand access link to the broader community?

No. This LES MILLS On Demand offer is exclusive to you as an existing staff/customer/member to support you during this time.
