Our dedicated Internal Auditor Julie has recently celebrated an impressive five-year employment milestone with the Y WA, and we couldn’t be prouder!
With over nine years of experience in compliance management and audit roles prior to joining the Y, Julie has found the perfect match for her skills and experience here.
In her role, Julie's days are anything but ordinary. From scheduling site visits to conducting internal audits and providing educational support, her typical day is a whirlwind of activity. Yet, amidst the busyness, Julie thrives on the variety and challenge her role offers.
What does she enjoy most about her job? Everything! Julie relishes the opportunity to take a holistic approach to identifying, educating, documenting, and mitigating risks for the organization. She finds fulfillment in assisting and empowering staff to understand the significance of their roles and responsibilities, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
One of Julie's proudest achievements in her role is the rapport and respect she has earned from her colleagues and management alike.
“I use my role to educate staff on regulatory requirements and have established a respectful rapport with my colleagues and service leads for my approach in empowering and supporting them”, said Julie.
