The World Challenge is YMCA’s annual opportunity to invite everyone to hear of the work being done by the YMCA in the local community. This year’s theme is “give young people a voice”.
YMCAs everywhere will be participating in many creative ways to show their local young people and their communities that they care about them and they want their voice to be heard.
In Western Australia two groups of young people came together to volunteer their time to share their ideas and concerns on two different subject matters. These resulted in two videos being created:
- A group of young people from our Youth Parliament program answer the question: What policy would you introduce that would have a positive impact to the future?
- Volunteers and staff of our Serpentine Jarrahdale Recreation Centre answer the question: What does community mean to you?
