Narrogin has a high standard of infrastructure including rail, highway access, water supply, power and connection to the optical cable network as well as community services such as a highly recognised regional hospital and proactive aged care services, an active regional library and heritage museum, three primary schools, Narrogin Senior High School and Agricultural College, a residential college, TAFE campus, venues for hire, supermarkets, specialty shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Narrogin also boasts a vibrant arts and cultural community including Nexis Gallery and ARtS SPACE.

Effective community engagement is vital to the mission of YMCA in Narrogin and the greater Wheatbelt community. The YMCA community engagement strategy is the process through which we enlist the capabilities of our staff and organisational resources to work collaboratively with individuals, community groups and organisations to achieve mutually agreed goals that build capacity, improve wellbeing, and produce just and sustainable outcomes in the interests of people, families and communities.
